Grendel Marie
Gren was the heart behind Gren Village. Her life changed mine, and losing her planted the seed for a sanctuary where senior dogs can be safe, understood, and loved for the rest of their lives.
Gren Village carries her name and the promise she inspired: that an old dog’s final chapter should be filled with dignity, comfort, familiar faces, and a home that remains theirs.

Why seniors?
The dogs most often passed over still have so much life to live.
Age can bring arthritis, chronic illness, hearing or vision loss, and a need for slower routines. It can also bring deep trust, well-earned confidence, quiet companionship, and an incredible capacity for joy. Sanctuary care gives senior dogs the security and comfort to simply be themselves, surrounded by familiar faces and loved through every changing need.
